Government Sales Executive

Our client is seeking an experienced sales professional responsible for state and local government sales.   This is a new key position being added to manage the rapid growth of its company.  For the right person, the position could develop into a senior leadership role.

The selected person should have demonstrated experience and positive track record selling to government institutions.  Experience selling consulting solutions and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions is a strong bonus.

Headquartered just north of Milwaukee, it has been providing award winning SaaS eSourcing solutions since 2003.  The solutions are designed to allow agencies to stretch budgets and improve the productivity of procurement professionals.  It has one of the best reputations in the market boasting references from fortune 500’s, well-known manufacturers, and other organizations.  Prior experience includes work for the FAA and the State of Wisconsin. 

Their unique solution allows government agencies to utilize the productivity improving eSourcing application and optionally add project management human resources.  Several unique solution offerings require no expenditure by the agency.  We will share details during the interview.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for selling eSourcing solutions to generate sales revenue
• Find direct sales opportunities in State, County, and Municipal agencies
• Creating awareness, building relationships with key executives, and developing/pursuing leads
• Working with sales and technical teams to develop account plans and  strategies
• Manage partner, price, and proposal to develop and close deals
• Manage contracts
• Participate in industry events (trade shows, professional organizations)
• Use Company sales forecasting system
• Complete company sales reports and measurements
• Remain current on industry trends and competitive knowledge
• Submit ideas for continues improvement

Specific Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree
• Experience selling to the state/local government – prior contacts
• Experience selling SaaS solutions and consultative sales
• Experience networking and selling to senior decision makers
• 5+ years of direct sales experience in information systems/business-to-business technologies
• Experience selling procurement, supply chain, or financial, software is highly preferred. 
• A proven and verifiable track record of lead generation and qualification, account penetration, growth, and revenue recognition.
• High integrity ensuring company can honor commitments
• Ability to work respectfully and effectively with internal resources in a diverse work setting
• Willing to sign confidentiality, intellectual property, and non-compete agreement
• Excellent skill with web-apps, and standard business apps.
