Our client provides technical and professional services in three key areas—Business Process Improvement, Enterprise IT Engineering and Services, and Managed Business Support. They are a full-services systems integrator that provides innovative, technology-based business process improvement, IT, and managed business support solutions to government agencies and customers in the private sector.
Our client has an immediate need for Senior Oracle DBA. This would be a permanent, salaried position with our client and this person will then be contracted out on assignment to their government client. This position is located in Northern IL.

Job Description
The DBA must have extensive experience with the entire database lifecycle and including design, change, backup and recovery.
Must have experience on:
    1. Oracle Application Server 9i, 10g and 11g
    2. Installing RAC on windows 
    3. Data Guard 
    4. Oracle Upgrades 
    5. Oracle Patches 
    6. RMAN backup and recovery 
    7. TEAM PLAYER 
    8. Managing multiple Oracle RDBMS on AIX and windows Platforms  
    9. Development and Production support roles

• Expert OLTP experience a must, exposure to OLAP a plus
• Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases
• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team.
• Ability to interact with development teams, business owners, and various levels of management. Experience with performance tuning and monitoring
• Ensure high availability and performance (will eventually require 24x7 pager support on a rotational basis)
• Experience working as part of a team that delivers a high availability service.
• Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
• Providing trend analysis to enable the team to make informed decisions regarding resource management
• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
