Our client provides technical and professional services in three key areas—Business Process Improvement, Enterprise IT Engineering and Services, and Managed Business Support. They are a full-services systems integrator that provides innovative, technology-based business process improvement, IT, and managed business support solutions to government agencies and customers in the private sector.
Our client has an immediate need for an Enterprise Architect. This would be a permanent, salaried position with our client and this person will then be contracted out on assignment to their government client. This position is located in Northern IL.
Job Description
Provides technical knowledge and skill in the design, testing and deployment of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). Experienced in the operation of a SOA. Requires in-depth knowledge of current technologies required to support an evolving business environment. Provides engineering support and analysis to a variety of new and innovative projects. Participates as needed in all phases of engineering design and software development with emphasis on planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation and presentation phases. Applies principles, methods and knowledge of Information Technology to specific user requirements and in the process uses advanced analytical principles and methods to arrive at practical, innovative solutions. Designs and prepares technical reports, studies and related documentation; makes charts and graphs to records results. Prepares and delivers presentations and briefings as required. Has knowledge of security requirements for specialized information transfer applications and skilled in preparing technical reports and providing other services a required. Must provide Independent Verification and Validation (IVV) of user and technical requirements for high profile IT acquisitions. Organize and conduct meetings as required to accomplish IVV. Document meetings and other research in writing using approved government formats.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of six years of “hands-on” successful IT EA (Enterprise Architecture) experience with projects ranging from $500K to $5M in value. Must possess strong technology acumen and experience implementing strategy with integration across a variety of the following:
• Programming Paradigms (procedural, object, Batch, DSS (Decision Support Systems), Web Publishing, E-Commerce, etc.)
• Middleware technologies
• Data Storage technologies
• Service Oriented Architecture including applications and network architecture components
• IT Security
Certifications:
CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Engineer) required.
ITIL and/or CMMI Certification(s) preferred.
Familiarity with OPNET also a plus! – Client invested in this technology solution and it was recently rolled out.
