Under the general direction of the Enterprise Application Manager, The OnBase Enterprise Administrator serves as senior operational administrator for the centrally provided and managed OnBase product.
The OnBase Administrator is also a Project Team Member, providing technical design and definition of implementation tasks for specific enterprise projects of moderately complex to complex technical scope. Primarily this will involve significant technical and project partnering.
Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties:
65% Systems Engineering and Administration
Provide systems engineering and administrative support for Document Management, Information Imaging, and System Workflow projects across the enterprise. This includes the planning, implementation and tracking of document types and document groups.
Provide primary support in maintaining and maturing the OnBase environment.
Maintain an overall perspective of system issues in the enterprise.
Work with user community to improve application's usability.
Coordinate with vendors for design/architecture, application issues, software patches, and application upgrades.
Prepare and maintain documentation.
Monitor resource capacities like disk space, memory, network, and processor.
Perform both routine and emergency systems administration tasks in daily operations.
Resolve a variety of problems of moderate to difficult scope. Initiate and coordinate the escalation of OnBase application problems to other support staff.
Perform both routine and non-routine systems administration tasks.
Serve as an escalation point in the identification and correction of moderately complex to complex computing systems and applications problems, including interaction with other support staff or outside vendors. Independently determine approaches and strategies.
30% Project Planning and Implementation
Partner with other IT entities to further leverage the OnBase environment
Recommend modifications, including upgrades, additions or deletions to moderately complex or complex systems or services both on the server and desktop end. Provide analysis and justification for recommendation, which may include operational data, feasibility, technological motivations, customer demand or need.
Perform systems administration tasks for project implementations.
Direct and/or perform systems administration tasks for project implementations, which may include multiple, simultaneous activities.
5% Training and Development
Meet regularly with teammates to maintain knowledge of current activities, operational standards and current installation methods.
Assist in identifying relevant training opportunities for systems staff.
Qualifications:
• Experience providing high-level technical support in a central support model.
• Substantial experience as a hands-on system administrator of Windows-based systems / x86 based servers and in support of a wide variety of application packages.
• Significant experience with OnBase and the various implementation options.
• Experience with common x86 hardware technologies and platforms.
• Experience with one or more scripting tools.
• Experience in designing enterprise systems management solutions.
• Should be thoroughly proficient in designing, integrating and implementing OnBase solutions.
• Experience with service management concepts and applicable tools.
• 5+ years in network operations environment or related job field
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining application system servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. This is to include complete hardware build on through to the operating system and application installation/configuration and ongoing production maintenance of the systems.

3-4 years professional networking/back office systems experience
